Feb 01, 2015 Vanessa Grubbs, MD has a book deal with Amistad, a division of HarperCollins Publishers to write TETHERED: Notes from a kidney doctor and donor. The book will be part memoir and part issues in nephrology, like ESRD decision-making, and will be written for a general audience.

Feb 01, 2015 Elaine Ku, MD published 2 first-author papers recently: "Association between strict blood pressure control during chronic kidney disease and lower mortality after onset of end-stage renal disease." Feb 01, 2015 In the January 2015 issue of the San Francisco Magazine, Drs. Kerry Cho, Stephen Gluck and Stephen Tomlanovich were recognized as "Top Doctors 2015". Three out of the eight named nephrologists are from UCSF, making us the most represented hospital in the "Nephrology" catergory. The survey covered Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara and Sonoma counties.
