Frank Gotch, MD .

Dr. Frank Gotch attended medical school and completed all his subsequent clinical training at UCSF. He was a faculty member at San Francisco General Hospital where he was founding director of the dialysis unit. He was a pioneer in many areas of nephrology, foremost in urea kinetic modeling, including development and popularization of Kt/V and standardized Kt/V as measures of dialysis adequacy.
